Direct Deposit

Many constituents have expressed concerns in delays in receiving government support payments and pension benefits. If you are concerned about the delivery of your Canada Pension Plan (CPP) or Old Age Security (OAS) cheque, one option you may wish to consider is enrolling in the direct deposit service offered by Service Canada. Direct deposit is a system used by the federal government to automatically deposit your Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security payments in a bank account of your choice.

You also have the option of setting up direct deposit through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for your income tax refund, your goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit, your Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB) payments, and your Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) payments.
