Congratulatory Messages

Our office is more than happy to provide special occasion certificates to constituents that are celebrating milestone birthdays or anniversaries. In addition to an official certificate from me, a certificate will be automatically prepared from the Prime Minister for 25th Anniversary and beyond, and 65th birthday and beyond in five year intervals. If you wish, the Nova Scotia Protocol Office will also notify the following offices to send a congratulatory message.

Queen
60th anniv./100th birthday and up.
Proof of age/marriage must be submitted to obtain certificate from Queen.
Certificates can be requested every five years.

Lieutenant Governor
50th anniv./80th birthday
and up
Certificates can be requested every five years.

Governor General
50-59th anniv./90-99th birthday.

Prime Minister
25th anniv./65th birthday
and up.

To ensure timely delivery, please submit certificate request at least 6 weeks in advance of celebration. Requests for congratulatory messages from the Governor General and Queen should be submitted at least 8 weeks in advance of celebration.
